CycleFund was born from a simple observation: while the world was racing toward digital finance, one of Africa's most successful financial innovations—the susu or rotating savings circle—remained largely analog and limited by geography.
Founded in 2024 by a team of fintech veterans and African diaspora entrepreneurs, CycleFund recognized that many Africans worldwide participate in informal savings groups but lack the security, transparency, and convenience that modern technology can provide.
Our founders, having personally participated in various savings circles across Ghana, Nigeria, and diaspora communities in the US and UK, understood both the immense value and the inherent challenges of these traditional systems. They set out to create a platform that would preserve the community spirit and cultural significance of susu while addressing modern needs for security, compliance, and global accessibility.
Today, CycleFund operates as a Delaware-incorporated technology startup with early-stage operations focusing on African diaspora communities, currently in beta with early adopters across 8 countries building community savings through our platform.
